Nairobi: Agricultural Assistance

What wonderful experiences we had working with Charles Mully, not only with his biological family of 8 children but the entire "Mully Family" of about 1,500 children. Since the last visit by some of us, we were amazed at the progress made to the facilities for the children at the Ndalani location. We engaged in work in the field crops, the green houses and the grading stations.

Our visit to adjacent communities exposed the team to real family hardships with obvious needs for food, housing, clean water, medical attention and educational training. Hands-on interaction was truly awarding and eye opening. As a result, our lives were changed forever. Our contribution to building construction at the MCF centre kept some of us busy while at other times we visited the educational classes including devotional times with young and older children. Each of us played a role in each of the daily sessions. Real life testimonies from many of the children opened our eyes to the terrible lives they led in the streets before being rescued by MCF.

We rounded out our trip by part of a day mountain climbing and rural exposure to almost all of "Wild Kingdom" animal species in natural settings. We are grateful to be part of serving in this special way … with so many special people.
