Liberia: Clean Water for Orphans

The Association of Independent Churches of Africa (AICA) has been ministering to war orphans since the outbreak of violence. They began by providing rice and beans to the children who were at risk of starvation during the war. Since the ceasefire, AICA has developed a more formal program to care for these orphans at The Family Love Orphanage which provides a home for 75 children who have lost their parents.

An Alongside team helped rebuild a damaged building where the children are learning to read and write, and restored a source of clean water so children can grow to be healthy. And of course, the team had lots of fun with the kids and joined them in the singing and Bible lessons they enjoy each day.
